Love your NASCAR racing? This season of NASCAR 2026, has it’s First Round on the – 1st February which is at the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.

The different race circuit conditions, Ovals and Street, not only must  drivers be mentally and physically super fit, they also need to adapt and prepare for every race, very demanding!

As Kiwis we are so proud to see Shane van GISBERGEN (SVG) from Aotearoa, New Zealand racing again in NASCAR 2026 his CREW CHIEF is Stephen Doran and is a valid member of the race TEAM “Trackhouse Racing”.

Like Scott MCLAUGHLAN, Shane van Gisbergen (SVG) was also a SUPERCAR Champion.

Then in 2023 Shane van Gisbergen (SVG) became the talk of the motorsports world when he won the inaugural Cup Series race at the Chicago Street Course on a wet circuit.

Of course having grown up racing in New Zealand meant he was well adapted to racing in the rain, plus showing his outstanding passing skills from SUPERCARS!

One thing that he has had to learn from scratch is Oval Racing, by the end of the last season he was certainly starting to get the hang of it.

Once again proving that New Zealand is producing world class race drivers!
